Field based Debt Recovery & Enquiry Officer – South London/ Surrey/ Sussex
We are looking for a field based Debt Recovery Officer to cover the KT, GU, TW postcode areas. To be considered for this vacancy you must live in one of the following postcode areas – TW/ KT or GU18-23 postcode area and be able to pass a full CRB and Credit check as well as 5 years references.
We now have an exciting position with our client who is an accredited and fully FCA authorised specialised Debt Recovery Litigation law firm. Current or recent area/ field experience from Debt Recovery, Debt Enforcement, Income Recovery, Loans, Insurance, Arrears, Finance or Collections backgrounds visiting clients in their own homes and conducting face to face meetings is required.
The job holder will be home based and travel by car out to clients within the postcode areas dependent on location and be required to work an allocated area (which may change according to workload).
The purpose of this role is to visit clients in their homes and conduct face to face interviews to gather information, in order to complete legal/court or client derived documentation to provide a true and accurate reflection on the nature of the enquiry. The successful candidate will provide a professional and informative primary point of contact for all customers/clients whilst maintaining the highest level of customer service.
The role will involve:
– arranging and attending face to face interviews with individuals in their homes who are currently in financial difficulties, discussing their present and foreseeable future circumstances and agreeing and motivating the individuals into repayment plans with primary creditors.
– conducting enquires on behalf of insurance companies with regard to motor insurance accident claims.
Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, however full training will be given.
The candidate needs to be a good communicator, numerate and have the ability to prioritise and coordinate their workload geographically. 5 years checkable References, a DBS check and Credit check will be required and no criminal convictions. Full clean driving licence required.
This role will cover 37.5 hours per week between the hours of 08.00am and 9.00pm, and possibly some Saturday working so flexibility will be required.
A competitive market rate basic salary plus an on target bonus, allocation of a company car + fuel card, mobile phone, home set up (laptop printer/scanner) and a benefits package including 25 days holiday per year rising with service, contributory pension, critical illness cover, health cash plan and death in service benefit.
